If you are using the Kadai as an open fire we recommend very dry wood. The dryer the wood the less smoke the fire will produce. If you are using it to cook food over, we recommend charcoal, but once wood has burnt down to embers that works well too. To maximize cooking time use charcoal briquettes.
All fire pits come with a metal stand for the pits to sit on. You may prefer to have your pit nestled on some rocks on the ground as the main picture shows.
Please note as these are original Fire Pits (approx 60-70 years old) no two are ever quite the same.
